The Courtyard mostly serves breakfast and lunch (rather than a full dinner service). They specialise in traditional setswana/Botswana cuisine, such as dishes like Seswaa (pounded beef or goat), oxtail, morogo (wild spinach) and local sides. They also have western-style options (steak & chips, salads, more familiar fare) to cater to a variety of tastes. The setting is open-air (garden/courtyard style), with trees, greenery, and a relaxed feel rather than a formal indoor restaurant.

The emphasis is on traditional Setswana cuisine (Botswana local dishes) and more familiar western‐style meals like salads, grill mains, etc.



Seswaa: A signature national dish of Botswana—slow-cooked beef (or goat) that is pounded, often served with “pap” (maize meal) or other local starch. The Courtyard is cited as one of the places to try this.
